DIY Construction Paper Jellyfish

If you have a kiddo who loves the ocean and all of the fascinating sea creatures in it, this jellyfish craft is the perfect one to make! Not only is this paper craft adorable, but, best of all, these paper jellyfish won’t sting you!

Materials needed:

-Two shades of blue construction paper

-Purple construction paper

-Black construction paper

-White paper

-Scissors

-Glue

-Black pen or marker

-Pencil

Now that we have everything, let’s get crafting!

First, cut out a semi-circle from one of your two selected shades of construction paper. I chose to use a lighter shade, but feel free to use the darker one.

Next, cut out a narrow squiggly shape from a different shade of blue construction paper. This shape should be the same length as the bottom edge of the semi-circle you cut out in the previous step.

Glue this shape to the straight edge of the semi-circle.

After that, cut out two circles from the white sheet of paper and two smaller circles from the black sheet of paper. Glue the black circles on top of the white ones, forming two eyes for the jellyfish. Glue these eyes onto the jellyfish's body and draw on a little smile between them.

Now, let’s make our jellyfish tentacles. First, cut out a few thin strips of purple and blue construction paper.

One at a time, roll each strip around your finger to make a ringlet. When you let go of each ringlet, the curl will unfurl slightly, which is just what we need.

Once you have made all your tentacles, glue them to the back side of the jellyfish body.

And that’s it! These paper jellyfish are so cute!
